In vivo reproduction
of beneficial microbials for agriculture
Since the beginning of the microbials reproduction the choice was made for the IN VIVO
production technique, which is more complex and expensive, but provides a final product
of highest quality.
Since fifty years, Italpollina has commited itself to the production of fertilizers and biostimulants which are certified all over the world
A choice for quality
Mycorrhizal fungi are obligate symbionts. Their production requires the use of host plants, without which it would be impossible to complete the life cycle and the production of new propagules / spores. In vivo propagation requires specific installations, a long period for the growth of host crops, highly skilled workers and the use of inert substrates and materials certified free from contaminants and pathogens.
In the in vivo system, the fungus-plant association extends itself beyond the simple interchange of nutrients. This association results in molecular alterations, ensuring that each generation of reproduced fungi maintains a genetic "background" and a morphology that allows to adapt in the best way.
Italpollina has developed a unique technology for the in vivo production of mycorrhizal inoculums. We guarantee the highest performance in agricultural systems and products adapted for major crops. We ensures the highest quality of the product (absence of GMO, contaminants and pathogens) and the maximum effectiveness of colonization.
Our products based on beneficial microorganisms are available in different formulations to better meet the different needs: tablet, water soluble powder, clay and micro-granule.
The advantages of Mycorrhization
Positive effects of mycorrhizae on plants are many. Mycorrhizal fungi colonizes plant roots and provides them with mineral elements and water they extract from soil. Thanks to mycorrhizae, plants increase their root surface from 100 to 1000 times, and consequently, the absorption capacity of nutrients and water.
Other benefits of the mycorrhization are:
- biostimulant effect
- better resistance to water stress and high salinity,
- greater and more uniform yield,
- better plant development,
- better absorption of phosphorus and trace elements
- resistance to transplantation stress
- better resistance to radical pathogen fungi,
- improvement of the soil structure and attenuation of the tiredness
- better efficacy of fertilization and irrigation.
